Yamaha RD250 special, flat tracker with tuned 430 engine

Yamaha based flat tracker/ scrambler.

Had this a couple of years now and only ridden it twice. It's started on a regular basis. everything works and is mot'd until April 2016. V5 is present and in my name.

Started today second kick after 3 weeks under cover :)

rd250 1A2 frame. modified for seat unit fitment and the lc monoshock. Various brackets removed and some others added over the years.

Bare metal re-spray in white with decals and lacquered over. certainly different.

Fitted rd400 engine. bored to 430 and tuned by mick abbey. running ypvs power jet carbs. home made expansions. not the best ive seen but good enough and seem to work well. Quick bike with a strong power band. Runs fully synth pre-mix.

Points ignition and full loom. motobat located under the seat.

350ypvs forks and bottom yoke. air cooled top yoke.

Honda hubs. stainless spokes in akront alloy rims. New pads in the rebuilt brakes.

350lc monoshock. fzr600 swingarm. good tyres front and back.

Chrome flat tracker bars. new grips. mini clocks with almost zero miles.

The finish on the frame isn't the best. a mix of rattle can and touch up's. same for the swing arm. It would also benefit from a couple of brackets remaking. it ideally needs a strip/ blast and powder coat however. this does not effect how the bike runs and was the plan two years ago.
