Gilera 50 Trials Time Warp Original perfomance additions outstanding condition

Well what can we say. this is probably THE most original Gilera 50 in the country. if not further!

From new this was a restricted E model - five speed kickstart.   I have professionally converted it to RS spec. forks. decals. tyres. engine upgrades.  etc.

It was purchased as Brand New Old Stock from Groombridge Motorcycles in Tunbridge Wells in 2003.   It had been stored in his stock room all these years (since the 1970s) and so as you can imagine you wont find a cleaner. newer. more original example out there.   It had absolutely ZERO miles on this when I brought it. but I have had a little fun on it and used it. it now reads 1359 miles.

As you can imagine the detail and correctness of this is spot on. original Pirelli Motorcross style tyres. suspension is original Ceriani front and rear. paint work although perfect factory Rosso Red. it does have a couple of chips here and there due to me enjoying it. and tiny tiny dent on the petrol tank.   Seat cover is perfect. steering lock and every works. all original keys (two keys) included.   Original tool kit. handbook all present as supplied with bike from new.   Chrome work is all original. with some signs very slight wear and imperfections from being stored all those years. but all adds to the platina. personality and originality of this lovely machine.

  As this was the restricted model. I decided to improve its performance a little bit. without altering or ruining the original factory looks.  These upgrades include :-

 Modern reliable electronic ignition which has been further upgraded with a special mapped ignition module. to vary the ignition timing for more performance and reliability.

The original carburettor has been upgraded with a power jet system. again this gives more power and cleaner running.

The clutch has been upgraded with soft feel Surflex set up. handles the power and is nice and useable.

The original exhaust has been modified internally with an expansion type cone. this is brilliant in that it gives the power and performance of an expansion chamber. but still retains the stock original looks.

The cylinder. cylinder head and casings have all been mildly tuned and matched. again for total reliability and some extra performance.

All these modifications have been professionally carried out by a two stroke tuning specialist.   Originally the factory output at the rear wheel was 2. 5 bhp (as it was a restricted) but this now makes mearly 8 bhp. dyno print outs will be provided.   Performance wise it will top 50mph. and accelerates very well.

Due to the electronic ignition the head light has been upgrade to 12v Halogen. the rear light runs 12v LED bulbs.   There is a hidden I phone charge. which can charge your phone. or you can even run a TOM TOM and other such toys on it.   This is all hidden away.

This bike has just been fully serviced and a new MOT has just been put on it. so it is completely ready to ride away.

We are confident this is probably the best Gilera 50 for sale today barr none. you wont find a better one - with a unique engine to match!
