Kawasaki H1A 500 SOLD SOLD triple two stroke 1971 collectors project vintage

NOW SOLD . 1971 Kawasaki H1A 500cc triple two stroke classic motorcycle. the machine is a USA import that we have fully UK registered with a correct original "J" registration 1971 number plate. This unrestored bike has obviously benefitted from a warm/dry climate as it has only minimum corrosion unlike unrestored European examples. The machine has been unused for many years so will require attention before being fit or safe to use on the road. After all the usual inspections including cleaning the carburettors etc we have had the machine running [off an auxiliary fuel supply] and it sounds good. we have filmed a short video if it running and it is posted on "youtube" as well as a detailed "walk around" video. if interested please take the time to look at these carefully. I have been advised that the fuel tank and side panel are possibly off an H1 model as the tank has knee scallops. I guess that at some stage in the distant past these may have been changed as the white/ blue and earlier scalloped tank are more desirable? The inside of the petrol tank is in excellent condition. new fuel tap seals will be included in the sale. the steering lock has been damaged and will require a new barrel and some repair also the damper knob is broken apart from that the general completeness and integrity is very good. The carb to air cleaner rubber assembly is split and will need replacing. The bike is one that we intended to go through/restore and the only reason it is listed is because due to the current virus situation we cannot work in a practical manner. If you have some time on your hands and the facilities this would be a fantastic opportunity to while away the coming weeks/months. The machine has great potential.
