Description

This motorcycle was fully functional and running when it got put in storage 40+ years ago. We pulled it out of the shed several months ago and we began cleaning it up. The carbs and tank have been cleaned, but we cannot find the key to see if it will fire up. It is in need of some service and TLC to get it back on the road. We have the title, and bike is being sold as-is.
The Kawasaki H2 Mach IV, a 750cc three-cylinder two-stroke motorcycle, earned the nickname "Widowmaker" due to its extreme power, tendency to wheelie, and less-than-stable handling at high speeds. It was known for its incredible acceleration, capable of a 12-second quarter-mile, making it a force to be reckoned with on the street and track.

Key Features and Characteristics:

  • Engine: 748cc, air-cooled, two-stroke, three-cylinder.
  • Power: 74 horsepower, which was a lot for its time, especially considering its relatively light weight.
  • Performance: Known for its incredible acceleration and top speed exceeding 120 mph.
  • Handling: While fast, it was also known for its tendency to wheelie, especially in lower gears, and could be unstable at high speeds.
  • Nickname: "Widowmaker" was given due to its powerful, potentially dangerous nature.
  • Production Years: Sold from 1971 to 1975.
  • Legacy: The H2 cemented Kawasaki's reputation for building fast, good-looking, and somewhat wild motorcycles.
  • I recently learned that although the bike has a manufacture date of 11/71, it is likely considered a 1972 model. I also learned that keys are available and I have purchased a key which is on it's way to me. I will include that with the bike sale. Engine number is H2E02695.
This is my uncle's motorcycle. He is the original owner. We pulled it out of his storage shed when he sold his home. During the move he has misplaced the title. We are still trying to locate it, but in the meantime we have applied for a duplicate title at the DMV. We hope to have it by the time the bike sells. If we don't have it, we will provide a signed bill of sale and will forward the duplicate title as soon as we obtain it.
