1971 Kawasaki H2

This all original H2 was made in November, 1971 and has very low serial numbers: H2E-2657 motor and H2F-2583 frame. I liked to think this bike was one of the first shipped over to us in Honda land. Showed them! It runs and stops great. It shifts good, rides smooth on new tires, and has proudly original (though slightly faded) lettering and paint.
All the chrome is in very good shape. The only original parts missing are two mirrors, two front turn signal lights, and original seat cover. The only work it needs is the lighting circuit - it had a fairing when I got it, which used its own signal lights and wiring plug. The fairing is in good shape and usable if you want. It will be included, along with a rear luggage carrier.
The bike has a few slightly damaged parts - most obvious the starter lever, and repainted left side battery cover. One muffler pipe has small low road rash and it has a small crack on the oilpump cover. As stated, this bike is completely original, with no substitutions. Although it shows both time and use, it has survived remarkably well both mechanically and cosmetically. Its fast, and rides great. Those of you in the know about these motorcycles will recognize this bike as a genuine collectors item. Long live the crotch rocket! Amendment! I was just informed by a person more knowledgeable than I (thanks Bill!) that the early H2's had a blue fender and not chrome. This front fender was obviously replaced sometime before I got the machine and is NOT original. Sorry for any confusion! A $500.00 Non-Refundable PayPal deposit is due within 48 hours.
