In 1940 the US DOD ordered 115 solo (non side car) Indian Military Chief 340B's. This is one of the 115. WW2 military bikes often are mismatched (frame-engine) due to their extensive use. However this is a matching numbers bike. Mainly used by Security Police for VIP escort as they were much larger (1200CC) than the Harley WLA or the Indian Military Scout. This bike runs well and is routinely ridden. Unlike the Harley WLA or the Indian Military Scout this bike can cruise comfortably at highway speeds. It is very rare to see one of these come up for sale. Especially at a realistic price. Clear Tennessee Title. I know of no mechanical Or electrical issues. Bike is still 6 volt and maintains its original left throttle and right side spark advance.
