1959 Harley Davidson FLH Panhead Bobber
This rolling piece of art is out of the shop of my good friend Landy Brakke located here in So. Cal. Landy started this build using all of the correct parts including an all original factory frame, front forks, gas tanks, speedometer and many more OEM components. The entire power train and all other components have been completely rebuilt to the highest standard starting with very clean and all numbers matching lower engine cases, original cylinders, correct year heads and gear box and more. The original brass body Linkert M74B carburetor has been treated to a full polishing with an early VL style air scoop set up in the downward position to give this bike a little attitude. The distributor is hand operated with cable delete and all electrics have been converted over to the more reliable 12V system. The original primary chain has been swapped out to the smoother running BTL belt drive and the four speed gear box has been rebuilt with all OEM gears. The frame is an OEM straight leg style from 1955 and the front end is also the OEM inline style. Obviously, there were some aftermarket and custom accents to build out this beauty such as the oil tank, inner and outer primary covers, upswept headers with very rare and desirable Bates "cocktail shaker" style mufflers. The bike has been ridden in and all of the bugs chased out to insure a reliable ride. This cool bike also won the "Dave Mann Chopperfest" a few years ago here in Ventura CA. Talk about a head turner, this bike has it all!! Add it to your collection or throw a leg over it for a nice long ride. Whatever your pleasure, she's ready and waiting for a new adventure.
