Description
1950 BSA D1 123cc Bantam trials trim with V5C!
Here is an excellent, easy to start sweet running BSA D1 rigid Bantam in trials / trail trim.
Starts easily sounds great, runs very sweetly and is quite lively for a 125cc. Excellent brakes, brilliant handling, super-lightweight easy to man-handle! Gearbox and clutch are excellent this is a lovely fun little bike to ride. Gearing is as per a normal road going machine. Acceleration is quite brisk up to 40mph +, more so than many a D1 I've ridden!
Speedometer needle is stuck fluctuating between 25 mph & 35 mph but the milometer is working OK.
Comes with V5C document, registration number is PXS 451 (cannot be transferred to another vehicle) Frame number is 30417, engine number is 73495, these numbers match the V5C doc.
Date of registration is 24th April 1950. It is registered as a Historic Vehicle therefore road tax is free and it is MOT exempt.
Cosmetically the bike is quite nice in an older looking fairly patinated way. Paintwork is all generally sound but old looking with usual chips and marks here and there. Tank is good internally and has not been lined. There is no fin damage on the engine. Wheel rims and spokes are all good. Tyres are Avon Trials supreme front and Pirelli Trials rear both in good order. All in all this is an excellent little D1 rigid Bantam ideal for on/off road fun around the lanes this spring-time. Learner legal too!
