The bike has very recently been restored but not used, and was only sold as the restorer has decided to emigrate. The standard of the work is superb. This machine is as close to mint as you are going to get. Perfect chrome and paintwork throughout. Look at the lining work, and note the wheel rims all correctly lined etc.
The bike starts very easily and runs great. Here is a brief walk around video showing it at tick over.
Despite it only showing a little movement on the ammeter, the machine is charging. Very good oil pressure, no undue noise or smoke from the engine. This is all original tin ware that has been renovated apparently, correct tanks, guards, tool box etc etc. The money spent on this has been a lot. Even the regulator lid has been chromed. This is a very nice job. Completely correct livery, factory colour matched, the whole thing. This is one of the few machines where you actually want the spoke counters to try and fault it, because this has been restored by the king of spoke counters and a self confessed anorak. That said, I know one of you will spot the monoblock, which is a new item and a conscious choice by our hero as he did not like all the drips you get with a pre monoblock, and it does run sweet as a nut on it... so... we might let him get away with that.
What this is looking for now is a rider. Is that you? You can spend the next two years and tons of money trying to restore a bike to as good as this, or you can save yourself all the bother, a ton of money, and just buy this and enjoy. I know what I would do...
Rigid, panel tank Tiger 100s are good news. Read the stats... very little could touch these in their day in this class, and they look fantastic. Silver and chrome, dials in the tank, sporting bars, gallon oil tank with flip up caps on both tanks, dartboard speedo... it's just superb. These always sell well and I think you would need to crash this to devalue it. I also think you could probably cash this is for money quicker than trying to get it out of the bank. Do you want the cash or do you want the iron? Personally, I know what I prefer since I know what my cash in the bank is doing for me... a big fat zero.
