1974 Moto Guzzi California

1974 Moto Guzzi California / Eldorado police optioned motorcycle. VIN # VP*059871* Manufactured JUNE, 1973. California is different than the standard Eldorado trim. The California has the chrome fenders, wider handlebars, floorboards, solo seat, relocated key switch, police dash with larger speedometer and the four-shoe brake front wheel. I purchased this in 2017 from an older man that had intended to make a cross country journey from Texas to Nova Scotia. He gave me a pile of paperwork of all the work done on this bike to make sure it was ready for the trip. At this time, I haven't located it yet but if I do, I will include it. I do remember that an alternator replaced the generator, new wiring harness, something to do with the cylinders and much more... I can't recall. It does have upgraded handlebar switches and loud WOLO horn. The are also hookups for a trailer and a plug for a trickle charger. The previous owner stated he had two shoulder surgeries that ended his plans before he got to take his trip unfortunately. He told me " This is the one to keep if I was looking for a good one" due to the amount of work done. Fast forward to 2023... I realize I don't ride this enough to justify keeping it. It needs to get back out there instead of sitting. As for the flaws... one shallow dent on top of front fender in between forks (didn't even notice until taking pictures, see photo)one small dent / chip (touched up) on top left front tank top (see photo circled)Mufflers are wide open but strangely enough not loud. The left muffler has chip out of it at the top seem. The always looked and sounded fine to me so I never changed them. I do have a more solid set that will be included if the new owner wants them. I also Have another rolling parts bike with a title that will be offered to the new owner that could be available in a separate deal.
