1955 Norton Dominator Model 7, 500cc project.
Here is an excellent project Norton Dominator model 7.
Work already done includes crank grind and rebore, new pistons, vapour blasted crankcases.
It is a matching numbers example with V5c doc. Registration number is BAS787, (cannot be transferred to another vehicle).
Frame number is 59475 K12, engine number is 59475 K12 also.
The bike is registered for Historic Vehicle taxation class therefore will be MOT exempt and road tax is free.
Cosmetically the bike is in need of repaint and usual work here and there. Usual suspects like wheel rims are old and poor chrome but sound. Decent pair of down pipes and an original pair of silencer in need of re-chrome. Seat is excellent. Tank is very good. Chrome on it is really good but it does have a small dent on right side, which I believe would be in the painted portion of the tank so could be cleverly filled and hidden. Tank is good inside and has not been linered or petsealed. Tinware is all very sound. Fins are all good on barrel & head. One rear grab rail is missing. Good centre stand and good side stand intact. Gearbox is complete and in one piece and selects through gears OK.
All in all this would make a very easy project for anyone with a bit of Norton Dommie experience. Don't miss this opportunity to resurrect a classic pre-featherbed Norton!
