Description

Featured here is an original, unrestored, matching numbers, 1 owner 1967 Triumph TR6C. This was the Competition model. I purchased this motorcycle brand new from Frank Marmo Triumph Dealership in Paterson, NJ., in April 1967. I have the original NJ title in my name from 1967. I have owned this bike for 57 years. It has 4,401 original miles. Vin # on frame and engine is: TR6C DU 47328.
Here is its history: Before picking up bike, I asked dealer to install a tachometer as it only came with the speedometer. Within two weeks of owning the bike I removed the original scrambler exhaust pipes and brackets and installed down swept pipes. I have the original exhaust and it is virtually like new. At that time I also removed the stock handle bars and replaced them. I still have the original bars and they are also in excellent condition. In 1969, with 1500 miles on bike, I converted the engine to a Roush 750 big bore kit. I have the original 650 cylinder and pistons and they are like new. In 1970 I converted the stock 6 volt energy transfer system to a Sebring 12 volt power unit to improve lighting. I have the Sebring 12 volt unit and its instruction/installation paperwork. I also have all the 6 volt energy system parts that I removed. Over the next couple years I used the bike very little.
The last time it was registered was in 1972, as shown on the rear fender with a NJ registration decal. I stopped riding the bike shortly thereafter and it has been in my garage ever since. I would periodically start and run the bike. In 2022 I decided to get it running again. I am now in my mid 70's and since bike is a kick start, I wanted to make it easier to start. The Sebring unit was not efficient so I converted to a 200 watt 16 amp alternator and small battery for easier starting. I have all the original parts removed from the Sebring unit and all the original parts from the stock energy transfer system, (coils, condenser, breaker plate). I also changed all oils, went through carburetor and tuned it up. This bike starts right up and runs phenomenally!!!! It is just raw speed!!!!!
Bike has the original Dunlop Tires and Original Tool Pouch!!!
This bike is as original as you will find and is a TRUE SURVIVOR. There were only 2042 of these produced!!!!
This bike is for the True Triumph Collector.
I will be happy to answer any questions for the serious buyer. No tire kickers, please.
