Rudge Autocycle 1939

Genuine 1939 Rudge Deluxe Autocycle rebuilt over the last 18 months, purchased from a deceased sale, which consisted of 80% of original 1939 Rudge and Villiers parts.
The engine was rebuilt with new piston, bearings, coil and other electrical parts supplied by Villiers Services.
The wheels were incorrect and they were rebuilt with new rims and spokes on period hubs.
The frame was stripped, rebuilt and repainted in period maroon two pack. The most difficult parts to sort were the cables but they now work correctly.
The original number was lost but I have a completed the registration process and have a V5 in my name, together with a age related number, and other period paperwork.
Now the bike runs, stops and rides as well as a 1939 Autocycle should.
The tank has a small crease on the right side just beside the circular Rudge badge, caused by a careless fellow biker, however the paint is not broken and can only been seen on close inspection.
