Description
1950 Indian Chief
This bike came out of a large collection I bought a while back. It is matching numbers and was around 90% complete at the time.
The bike was completely disassembled and got a proper mechanical restoration.
Engine/Primary/Transmission were all rebuilt from the crank-pin out with either NOS or New parts supplied from the usual Stark/Greer. It is the correct 80" motor internals.
The entire chassis from front to back was overhauled as well. Everything cleaned and rebuilt mechanically as needed. Brakes, wheels, shocks, front end you name it it was worked on to ensure road worthy.
All electrics were gone over, wire harness was replaced, generator rebuilt, Distributor rebuilt, switches cleaned, lubed etc. as needed to ensure no electrical issues.
All original tin with the exception of the tool box and generator belt guard.
I did the bike up to look somewhat old but not a total rat bike. Everything is in very nice shape overall.
This bike is 100% ready to ride. It starts on the first kick, brakes as it should, shifts very smooth and goes down the road perfect straight.
On every single Indian I have done it has gotten proper work and this one has gotten nothing less. It will take you down the road for many miles and not disappoint.
All paint is SprayMax 2K so it is 2 part and highly UV resistant. Not a cheapo spray bomb job.
