THIS IS AN IMMACULATE AND PERFECTLY RUNNING EXAMPLE OF HONDA'S FAMED 6 CYLINDER 1050CC SUPERBIKE BEAST FROM THE LATE 70'S. 1979 WAS THE DEBUT YEAR OF THIS ENGINEERING MARVEL. CANDY RED AND BLACK.
IT'S 45 YEAR OLD MASTERPIECE HAS NO LEAKS, NO DRIPS, NO SMOKE. IT CRANKS IMMEDIATELY, IDLES AND REVS SMOOTH AND CRISP WITH NO HESITATIONS OR STUMBLING. THE EXHAUST NOTE OF THE 6 IS LIKE NON OTHER. TRANSMISSION AND CLUTCH ALLOWS SHIFTS WITH FAULTLESS PRECISION.
COSMETICALLY, THIS BIKE IS ABSOLUTELY PRISTINE. FACTORY CANDY RED AND BLACK PAINT IS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT - ALL BRIGHTWORK/CHROME/STAINLESS/ALUMINUM IS FLAWLESS. INTERIOR OF FUEL TANK SHOWS NO DETERIORATION OR RUST. PETCOCK IS FULLY FUNCTIONAL.BRAKES ARE FULLY FUNCTIONAL AND HAVE NO DRAG OR MUSHINESS. BIKE ROLLS AND WHEELS TURN EFFORTLESSLY. SUSPENSION IS COMPLIANT OVER ROUGH ROADS THANKS TO NEWLY UPGRADED PERIOD CORRECT REAR SHOCKS. IT CORNERS WELL THROUGH THE TWISTIES AND HOLDS ITS LINE WHILE AT HIGH SPEED ON FREEWAYS. IN ORDER TO INCREASE RELIABILITY OF THE CBX'S NON CONVENTIONAL AND SEVERELY OUTDATED OEM CHARGING SET UP, THIS BIKE HAS BEEN UPDATED TO A MORE MODERN AND FAR MORE RELIABLE ALTERNATOR STYLE CHARGING SYSTEM. VOLTAGE OUTPUT IS STEADY AND CONSISTENT AT IDLE AND THROUGHOUT THE REV RANGE. THE UPDATED CHARGING SYSTEM ALLOWS FOR EASIER AND LESS COSTLY REPAIR IF EVER NEEDED AND GREATLY REDUCES THE CHANCE OF A ROADSIDE VISIT DUE TO DEAD BATTERY. ADDITIONALLY THE FRONT BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER HAS BEEN UPGRADED TO PERIOD CORRECT HONDA STYLE MASTER CYLINDER. THE UPGRADED MASTER CYLINDER ALLOWS FOR MUCH BETTER FRONT BRAKE STOPPING POWER (FIRMER PAD BITE AND MORE PROGRESSIVE AND LINEAR LEVER FEEL) IT ALSO PUTS A STOP TO THE NOTORIOUS OEM CBX RESERVOIR FLUID LEAKS.
RETAINS THE ORIGINAL CENTERSTAND. HAS ORIGINAL TOOLKIT STORED IN ITS FACTORY TOOL KIT HOLDER BEHIND LEFT SIDE COVER. THIS MACHINE ALSO HAS ITS ORIGINAL OWNERS MANUAL AND VINYL PACKET/POUCH ON THE BACKSIDE OF THE LEFT SIDE COVER.
