Vincent Rapide Motorcycle with modifications

I got the bike from a friend in 1967 before he emigrated to Spain.

As was common practice in those far off days I modified some features to make the machine more comfortable and easier to start.

These modifications. most of which are visible in the pictures. are as follows -

Fitted with Royal Enfield decompressors.

Multi-plate clutch.

Telescopic front forks with Vincent wheel.

Modified rear frame member with Vincent wheel.

Modified saddle.

I used the bike quite a bit back in those days but with less exotic machinery available for daily use and with family commitments to consider I put the bike in dry storage and have not started it up for a number of years. I have the following documents pertaining to the bike -

Buff continuation registration book dating from 1955. V5 and V5C.
