Description
A once in a lifetime opportunity to purchase probably the most unique hand built and as new Egli Vincent 1330 Superlight available today ! The professional build was completed in 2009 by Cottino Racing a division of Phil Cotton Motorcycles in Cumbria. The build specification was to build the bike with absolutely no expense spared using all new parts and to the highest specification. To achieve this a very special 1330cc engine was commissioned from "The Vincent Guru" Bob Dunn (a 5 year waiting list for this engine from Bob) this was to be specially made with all new components and the crankcases cast in Magnesium with one of Bobs short stroke cranks and big bore kits making it 1330cc on top of this his multi plate race clutch. speed gearbox. Bobs own electric start. Pazon ignition. lternator conversion and Fitted with 36mm Mikuni carbs. The new frame came from the legendary Egli frame builder Andy Sidlow. The front forks and rear shocks came from Ceriani which befor fitting were further upgrade by Maxtons. The front and rear brakes are Fontana and made from Magnesium laced into flanged alloy rims with stainless spokes all the fittings on the bike are stainless or titanium. The specification goes on and on and really you need to see this bike to appreciate the money and attention to detail that has gone into creating this wonderful bike. once the actual 2 year bike build (not counting the 5 year engine build) was complete it was thoroughly Road tested and then sent to Frank Wrathall of F. W. Developments for rolling road fine tuning. since then the bike has been part of the owners wonderful bike collection and totally unused the 60 miles on the clock being test miles only! To Replace this bike to day that's if you want to wait 5 years for a engine and 2 years for a bike build it would cost way in excess of the asking price. As the original builder I am offering this bike for sale on behalf of the owner as being so specialist and to such a high specification its easier for me to discuss any aspects of the bike with potential serious buyers. For instance because the project started with a original Vincent which was eventually scrapped the bike is registered on its original 1950 paperwork which is now registered as a Egli Vincent with the Vincent owners club and needs no tax or mot! A comprehensive build file accompanies the bike along with a disc containing a photo of virtually each days build progres !Crating and shipping to UK or overseas is no problem but at extra cost and only after cleared funds.
