Description
Honda CBX1000 C RETRO.
I'm listing this today to see what interest there is as they wont be seen again until spring next year. its a good chance to snap these up for a fettle over the winter.
as you can see. the CBX C is no longer a prolink. I built this bike to look like what we would have done to a stock bike back in the 80's. it was an enormous amount of work as well. suspension is 1100 Zephyr. everything was overhauled when built. steering lock functions like a normal bike. the speedo reads correctly. everything functions like a normal bike. there are too many little tweeks n special touches to mention or even remember. I've been saving this for export but that now looks impossible so I'm thinking of letting it go.
It comes with a very nice standard 1980 CBX prolink B which has been given a good going over and a fair bit of restoration. both bikes were being ridden daily until I became ill. they are not being used now. mileage on the C is 24000 miles and 28.000 km on the B.
The cbx c has developed a couple of faults which will need looking at 1 of which is a valve seal failure on no. 2 cylinder. this was very frustrating considering the head off and valve work done but its '1 of those things sent to try us'. once the leak has cleared on start up it runs as normal. the fork seals have perished and the new ones are on a shelf waiting for me.
There's a video of it running with the leaky seal to show it doesn't cause any issues other than some smoke on start up.

For that reason I require a £200 non refundable deposit to dissuade messers. I'm sure you will understand this.
