This very rare and much sought after 1972 750 Norton Commando with matching numbers has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to machinery than ours. This and the fact this bike has only done 24384 miles and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years have helped maintain its boyish good looks. We here at DK Motorcycles have very limited knowledge or experience with these British classics but we are picking it up as we go along. I'm guessing the seat & handlebars are a country mile off standard but in all honesty I don't know what else is particularly good or bad about the rest of the bike but you aficionados know what you're looking at. Sadly the battery is flat & front master cylinder isn't working.
The bike is every bit as nice as it looks here. The wheels are straight with nice clean chrome rims. Forks & yokes look straight with good chrome. Mudguards are both solid. Tail light assy is good as are the headlight & hangers. Instruments & switches look good. Fuel tank & side panels are solid & tank is clean inside. Carburetor is free sliding off the twist grip. Exhaust system solid. The engine is cosmetically very clean. it turns over nicely off the kick starter – sounds/feels great & has compression – We are assured our buyer heard it running in the States but we haven't run it up.
The bike is currently unregistered. The registration process is reasonably uncomplicated.
WE HAVE GOT THE ORIGINAL AMERICAN CERTIFICATE OF TITLE & will provide proof that VAT & Duty are paid on the NOVA system.
