Description
Hi, welcome to the reluctant sale of my 1955 Triton. It has been rebuilt from the ground up with no expense spared. According to the V5, it has only one former keeper, and it also has a transferable registration number if you're into that sort of thing.
I built this up over two years, and it went on the road in 2010, having only done a couple of hundred miles since. I'm only selling it because my knees are giving me trouble, and I'm finding it too difficult to start.
ENGINE:
1955 6T Thunderbird big bearing crank with new bearings, shells, and bushes.
The top end has been completely rebuilt with new rings, cylinder head, new guides, and remachined valves.
FRAME:
Slimline, delugged, two-pack painted with new steering head bearings.
Swingarm has new brass bushes.
Rebuilt Roadholder forks with internal springs, new bushes, and seals.
Fiberglass short-circuit petrol tank, holds about 3 gallons.
Custom-made alloy oil tank, painted to match the fuel tank.
Seat is likely a Unity item.
GEARBOX:
Slickshift gearbox with the arm cut off (I have a spare somewhere, which you can have if I find it).
Fully rebuilt with new bearings, seals, and bushes.
WHEELS:
Aqua-blasted hubs built using 18" smooth alloy (flangeless) rims for better tire options.
Stainless butted spokes.
ELECTRICS:
Reconditioned K2F magneto with auto advance.
Rewired with a single-phase reg/rec.
A Few Minor Notes:
It has done a couple of hundred miles and has been stored in my garage, so it has a few minor chips, bumps, and marks—it's not brand new.
A couple of small oil drips from the speedo drive and primary case (as my old man used to say, "It shows it's got oil in it!").
Tax-exempt (10 months remaining) and also MOT-exempt.

Payment: Cash on collection or bank transfer.
