I acquired the motorbike at the beginning of September 2006 from a museum which was closing down in the North East of Scotland.
I had it MOT'd in 2007/2008 and 2008/2009. As I was just getting the bike MOT'd and putting it back into storage in my garage I stopped getting it MOT'd. The bike has always been dry stored in my garage since I bought it. I have taken it out in the summer charged the battery and started the bike up to make sure it starts and runs. The bike is running and is in reasonably good condition.
I have the V5 Registration document and the 2 MOT documents mentioned above.
The bike does not need to be Sorned. I have an exemption letter for the SORN from the DVLA stating that “The requirement to make a SORN applies only to vehicles which have a current license in force on or after 31 January 1998. As my vehicle has not been licensed since 31 January 1998 a SORN is not required. ”
I also have a letter from Regtransfers.co.uk stating that they would sell the registration number on my behalf and endeavor to return to me the sum of £2000 NET. The Registration number is FGO 52.
The bike is located in the West of Scotland. 96 miles north of Glasgow. It can be seen at PH49 4JJ. which is 14 miles south of Fort William where the Six Day Trials are taking place from 2nd to 10th May 2014.
