Description
Spondon Suzuki with 1200 Suzuki Bandit Power
Ducati Mono-Arm suspension. Suzuki USD Front End
For Sale from a stock clearance at CRC Motorcycles.
This is a particularly well screwed together example of the iconic Spondon Streetfighter. Not built by us. but I would be perfectly happy to claim it!
No bodges. assembled from well chosen. quality components throughout to produce a tidy. stylish example of a 'Street Fighter' that is ready to give eye watering satisfaction!
The frame is one of Spondons finest tubular constructions. featuring welding of the very highest quality.
The engine is a Suzuki Bandit GSF1200. engine number prefix is V719 which I believe makes it mid to late 90s
The rear swing arm has been lifted from a Ducati 916 or similar. complete with ride height adjustable suspension linkage and tasty Marchesini wheel. The rear disc has been upgraded with a 'wavey' type replacement.
The rear suspension unit is a Showa with an Ohlins sticker applied. (That is not a selling point. just mentioned incase any eagle-eyed types spot it)
The front end is Suzuki; Upside Down Forks with gold nitrided inner tubes. and six pot calipers. The forks are in very good condition.
The clock set is a very tidy Suzuki item. not sure which model/year. The mileage is recorded as 18000. but I have no idea how this relates to the history of the bike.
The Bike is smothered in other choice details;
There are two stainless steel/billet aluminium breather bottles/condensers either side of the oil cooler. Apart from dealing with fumes from the engine breathers they greatly enhance the bike's purposeful appearance.
The clutch. alternator and ignition covers have had perspex windows inserted.
There is an Ohlins steering damper mounted on the right side of the frame
Billet aluminium mounting brackets and caps on the front brake and clutch fluid reservoirs
Billet aluminium. span adjustable brake and clutch levers
Stainless steel handlebar with brace
Braided steel Hel brake lines
Braided steel oil lines
LED rear light incorporating indicators
Very tidy blue paintwork with flag of St George across the tail piece. Stainless steel fasteners throughout
Pretty much everything that isn't painted or rubber is polished!
As far as we are aware the engine is stock. No air box. clip on type filters have been fitted.
I would not hesitate to describe the general condition of the motorcycle as extremely good.
All in all this is a rare opportunity to bag yourself a fantastic. unique motorcycle that will offer the sort of riding experience that simply can not be had from a production motorcycle.
This bike is being sold with new MOT and one years road tax.
We build and specialise in custom Cafe Racers. but undertake all other work such as MOT.
