Ariel 1947 500cc vintage classic twin port Red Hunter

Here is my 1947 Ariel 500cc twin port for sale. I restored it about 4 years ago now and it is fine condition throughout.
I rode it 950 miles. then after losing interest in motorcycling after many years and many classic bikes. I pushed it into the garage where it has been stored with its wheels off the floor for the last 3 years. I am selling it to help fund my latest project. a vintage car.
I have just spent the last few days recommissioning it. It has fresh oil and will have a new battery and is ready to ride.
All the cycle parts have been shot blasted. phosphated. zinc'd and gloss black powder coated. Mudguards. oil tank. fuel tank in 2 pack paint. All nuts and bolts in stainless. Professionally refurbished magneto and dynamo. New carb. Correct PA speedo restored (at great cost). All worn parts in engine. (steel flywheels) gearbox and clutch replaced. New chain/sprockets. Webb girders have new bushes and spindles. Gearbox was machined to accept readily available oil seals and now runs with oil instead of the original grease. Chrome rims. lined out by "Central wheel ". Twin pipes and kipper silencers by "Armours" with their usual superb plating. Many parts re-chromed although I couldn't bring myself to get the original tapered handlebars done as the original chrome had a nice patina. Everything works as it should. I have owned and restored many old bikes over the years but i think that this Ariel is the easiest to start.
