P&M, Peckett&McNab, Harris, Nico Bakker Kawasaki 1170, 1978 frame 15

Hi, here we have a great buy for someone. This bike has old history and after a period of not being used. Has recently been highly competitive in modern Classic Endurance. Bike is advertised elsewhere for the same price. so could be removed at any time :-)

P&M Kawasaki 1170. 1978

Built for Dennis McMillan in 1978 for the TT that year. Frame 15 has a long and illustrious history. most recently winning the 2010 Cartagena 6hrs ( Linden/Brasher ). 2012 and 2014 Mettet 4 hrs ( Mertens/Conroy/Linden) and the 2013 Imola 4hrs (Linden/Conroy). In 2013 the machine ( together with frame 17) won the FIM Classic Endurance Series. Found in 2007 in the Spondon workshops. covered in dust and restored by Phase One Endurance for the 2008 Classic Bol d'Or where it finished 7th.

Frame 15. standard 1978 P&M. with original swinging arm. hock absorbers. foot controls and yokes.

38mm Ceriani forks

Astralite wheels. gold. 3. 5" x 18"rear. 2. 5" x 18" front.

9-MAP ignition. Dyna mini coils. Scitsu tacho. Lithium Ion race battery.

Allden exhaust. 4/2/1

Spondon 300mm discs

Hel hoses. AP brakes

20 or 17 litre tank. either comes with the bike. but not both

Prepared by Graham Salter. this engine has only running in miles since being fitted fresh from Graham Salter rebuild.
