Description
SUZUKI DUNSTALL GS1000 17K miles!
Add to your collection this timeless classic! For those motorcycle connoisseurs this is a must have bike. in original condition it may be one of the few that has survived 29 years. When this bike was launched by Suzuki it had a meager 75bhp. the Dunstall kit churned out 97bhp with the help of 29mm smooth bore Mikuni's. MCM's rigorous road test in 1979 proved at the stats about the so called performance increases. and it did just that with its capability of 0-149mph in under a mile! As well as the obvious performance increases such as the carb rebore and the Dunstall Power Silencers. This Dunstall was kitted out with the Super Sports fairing / seat unit for a more comfortable ride and supersports footrest kit and mudguard. They produced styled cast alloy cam covers just to finish things off. The Dunstall colours make this a timeless bike and one that certainly won't go unnoticed! The GS1000CS makeover package in 1979 would set you back a little over £3000. at the time this would give you a bike hitting 153mph in 11.32 seconds! This was the quickest bike available to the public in 1979.
For those out there that this bike tickles their fancy. the V5C specifies the Make: DUNSTALL SUZUKI. Again another rarity. The bike has lots of history in the file with MCN and MCM road ride test and colour page spread write-ups on it performance etc. from 1979. The bike is in original condition with only 16856 miles on the clock. We have serviced the bike here at CRC and checked it over thoroughly. There is a kit included to be able to remove the fairing and fit Vincent straights for those that fancy a naked Cafe appearance.
