Suzuki XR69 GS1000 CRMC RACE BIKE EX GUY MARTIN AND MICHAEL DUNLOP

Suzuki xr69 Classic F1 Superbike made by Trident Engineering. It is correctly fitted with a GS1000 8 valve engine as the originals raced by Mick Grant and Graeme Crosby were. It has just been rebuilt and ready to go after having been on display for a number of years. It was raced in 2011 and 2012 by both Guy Martin and Michael Dunlop.
The engine has new JE forged pistons, rebuilt crankshaft, new timing chain and tensioner, new EBC Kevlar clutch and rebuilt clutch basket with heavy duty backplate and all new seals and gaskets throughout. It has a Nova close ratio five speed gearbox. This, along with the selector drum and selectors have all been Superfinished for increased lifespan, reduced wear and friction.
Fitted with Keihin CR35 round slide carburettors and self generating CDI ignition with latest type Scitsu rev counter.
The frame is an exact replica of Mick Grants factory XR69 made from 4130 chrome moly tubing nickel bronze welded.
The swinging arm is made from 5083 grade aluminium as original with modified rear wheel adjustment and fitment. It has XR69 fork yokes and fork sliders fitted with dummy anti dive units. Fitted with XR replica 310mm front discs with AP type calipers and AP adjustable front master cylinder. New EBC race pads.
Suzuki wheels 3.5x17 front and 5.5x17 rear with new Continental Sport Attack tyres.
All new bodywork in original Team Heron Suzuki paintwork.

Also included is a full set of bodywork and fuel tank painted in Men Only Suzuki colours and a new seat and front mudguard in Team Heron Suzuki colours. To suit taller riders there is a bracket kit to raise the seat by around 50mm and various seat pads. Included is a Foxley starter in perfect condition.
Note that the Trident Engineering XR69 frame is the only one copied directly from the factory original and with the aid of Suzuki factory drawings. This is a genuine classic bike fitted with the correct GS1000 8 valve air cooled engine rather than the much later oil cooled one and is fully CRMC eligible and comes with the CRMC eligibility certificate.
