Description
Well. where do i start with this bundle of loveliness ? Originally a plain and boring Flash. at some point in its history it's acquired an alloy head. some extra chrome. drilled brake hubs. an RGS paint job and clip ons so low even the hardiest 59 club member would wince. It belonged to a good friend of mines father who sadly passed away a few years ago. My friend had all good intentions of restoring it and putting it back on the road in all its glory but as with so many things in life other things took priority. This means that you can take on the project and spend many happy hours in the workshop away from the kids and the missus. The not so good bits. The chrome on the front rim is not good to say the least. The front forks are solid ( I'm guessing the top bush has seized onto the stanchion ) The anti wet sump valve is about as much use as a bicycle to a goldfish and as such the crank needs draining after a couple of weeks before starting or else the bike disappears in a smoke screen. The good bits. The motor fires up first kick and ticks over happily with no alarming noises ( well none for an A 10 that is ) The clutch and gearbox work as they should and despite the solid forks it actually rides really well. It starts from hot with no dramas so the mag is good and it's pretty oil tight. You are most welcome ( encouraged actually ) to come and see the bike or contact us if you have any questions.
