1978 Kawasaki kz1000d z1r

This beautiful Z1R had been sitting for years, and had cosmetic and wiring issues in 2017.
It has been restored to a 1980's hot-rod vibe, with over $3000 worth of NOS and new, period correct aftermarket parts. It has been professionally tuned/serviced, and ridden about 1000 miles to make sure it's ready for years of fun and reliable service.
A complete list of parts and services performed would be too long for this listing. However, I did
save receipts and kept a log during the restoration.
Major features on the bike include:
* Wiseco big bore kit and rebuilt cylinder head, c.2006, per prev. owner.
* Dyna S electronic ignition and green coils.
* Dynojet Stage 3 jet kit. Mikuni BS34 carbs, K&N pods, new fuel rails and rubber intake manifolds.
* New Vance&Hines 4-1 exhaust system.
* New: chain+sprockets, wheel bearings, tires, tubes, mirrors, 4 turn signals, left bar switch, fuses and holders, battery, seat cover, dash panel, ignition switch, front brake pads and rubber lines.
* NOS: headlight, rear brake light switch, and hand brake lever.
* Rebuilt both brake master cylinders and front calipers.
The paint color is slightly bluer and richer than Stardust Silver, and gets compliments all the time.
The stripes are hand laid tape, under the clear coat, which is hand polished. The frame has been touched up as necessary. The fuel tank is rust free. The tank and side cover emblems are new.
All the lights, turn signals, horn, kill switch, and hi-beam flasher work. The engine starts easily, idles, and runs smoothly with great power and no leaks. The wheels are straight and well balanced and the chassis and brakes function properly. Like new Pingel fuel petcock.
The windscreen is not OEM and has a small crack, and there is a slight blemish on the top of the gas tank. The ammeter is not connected, and the fuel gauge is not working. The neutral, t. sig., oil, and hi-beam lights work, as do the tach, speedo and both odometers.
The buyer is welcome to the spare parts I have, and she comes with 4 keys, owners manual, and the kickstart lever is in place under the seat. Clean AZ title.
