Description
1937 Indian Scout 750
This machine features late model Indian Chief frame, forks, fenders, gas tanks, chain guard, generator and exhaust. All parts look to be in good condition. The bike rolls easy and has been stored in the Wheels Through Time Museum collection inside for many years. I tried to start, but couldn't get spark out of the magneto. However, the bike was running when put on display. The engine turns easily with no broken fins. The clutch pedal works properly and the rear brake seems to be in good condition. This motorcycle has a good overall look and can be converted back to a Chief or made to run the way it is. The dash looks good with speedometer. Also features a Motolamp headlight. The bike was last plated in 1966, as pictured by the license plate.
This bike features a low serial number on a rare 1937 Indian Scout engine. This would make a great project to convert into a Chief or a 750cc Scout bobber TROG bike. Don't miss your opportunity to take a rare piece of Indian motorcycle history home with you!
The bike has been on display in the Wheels Through Time Museum collection for over 20 years and is being sold only to make room for new exhibits at the museum.
No title, sold on bill of sale only and must be picked up at Dale's Wheels Through Time Museum in Maggie Valley, North Carolina, unless the buyer arranges shipping.
