Description
The Kawasaki 750 Turbo was a 2 model year only bike and was the best bike to come out of the factory turbo wars of the 80s. Honda fired the first shot with the CX500 (and then the CX650) and Yamaha followed with the Seca 650 and Suzuki entered the ring with the XN85. To this day the Honda is still a well recieved entry, but the Yammy and Zuke were known to be horrible. The Yamaha had weak performance and handling and the Suzuki suffered from a bad design with the Turbo behind the hot engine and they have well documented reliability issues, although arguably the best looking of all the Turbo bikes and the only with a 16" front wheel.
In typical Kawasaki fashion, they entered the game late but decimated the competition with a better designed and performing machine. Originally designed to be a 650, it was changed at the last minute to a 750 with the goal of being a giant killer... and it was. If you are old enough to remember the 1/4 mile wars of 1983 you will remember that the "little" 750 bested all the big boys and was 1/4 mile king. Jay "Pee Wee" Gleason made the Kawi Turbo the first bike to break the 10 second barrier. But that's ancient history, so let's talk about this bike.
Which brings us to this bike. It is an '85 which is the final and best model to come out of the turbo era. It has been resto modded using modern Kawasaki fork, swing arm, wheels and brakes from a ZX11. Roger Twitto oversaw the restoration and I have a long form letter of his notes during the rebuild. No bolt or nut has been overlooked. There is only 1000 miles on bike, or less, since complete rebuild. Almost everything is new or rebuilt on this bike.

Start stops and runs perfectly. This bike is show quality. It turns heads and always draws a crowd. This bike is no joke and it is blindingly fast and when the turbo hits you better be hanging on. I have surprised a handful on modern crotch rockets on it.
Own a piece of history, very few of these around and usually they are beaters with tons of miles. This is a one of a kind machine that is basically new. Retro bike that rides and performs like a new bike with excellent reliability.
