Description
For Sale 1975 850 Norton MK-3 Commando Roadster I bought this bike from a gentleman that I used to work with who passed away and I bought it at his estate sale. He bought the bike when it was new and showed it all over the east coast winning many trophies with it. This Norton is in very very good to excellent condition, as shown in the pictures above. The bike has 22,174 miles on it. I am a retired machinist and have owned four MK-3's, one of which I sold for bid on e bay in 2013 and it sold for $13,00.00. All my bikes run and look very nice. I do all the mechanical work myself and have owned and worked on Nortons since 1966. I went over this bike and everything I thought needed done I did, which includes new U.K. made crossover header pipes, new pistons and Hepolite rings, new steel flame head gasket, new exhaust valves and exhaust valve guides, new intake valve seals, hand lapped all valves, installed all new stainless steel brake lines, rebuilt the front master cylinder and replaced the primary cover gasket. This bike has the upgraded electric starter which starts the bike hot or cold with no problem. The tires are in very good condition with lots of tread and are the correct Dunlop K-81's. The paint looks like new with one small chip on the right side cover and was touched up but is not very noticeable. The bike has the Pazon electronic ignition, but still has the stock twin coils and will start very quickly with the electric starter. Everything works, turn signals, lights, horn, dimmer switch, kill button, speedometer and tachometer. This bike has the factory mirrors that are in excellent condition, original mud guards in excellent condition and has the handle bar lock with the key. All chrome is in very good to excellent condition. All aluminum cases and z-plates and all aluminum parts have been buffed to look like chrome. This bike runs very smooth and idles very nicely. This bike has all MATCHING NUMBERS and a CLEAR TITLE IN MY NAME. This bike would make anyone a proud owner!! I am selling this bike because I already own a very very nice candy apple red 1976 MK-3 Norton Interstate with only 12,000 miles and a 1965 400 Electra in candy apple which I bought new in the spring of 1966 and it also looks brand new, so I don't need to keep this one. This bike is SOLD AS IS with NO WARRANTY!! A $500.00 deposit is required within 24 hours of sale and balance due within 7 days of sale unless buyer is picking the bike up then the balance is due upon pickup. I prefer payment by PayPal for the $500.00 deposit and cash for the remainder but will accept a cashiers check. Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements and all cost of shipping charges. The weight of the bike is approximately 400 pounds. I will assist in loading the bike if necessary. GOOD LUCK BIDDING !!!
