BSA A65 Lightning, in colour Gold

Here is my 1966 BSA Lightning in stunning factory Gold. It has just had a full oil and filter service and the carbs ultrasonically cleaned with a new gasket set fitted and benefits from electronic ignition so starts, runs and rides perfectly. Chain, sprockets and tyres are all in excellent condition and I have replaced the seat with a new BSA hump back style unit (as fitted standard) and it has all new rubbers all round. Whatever I have had done, I have tried wherever possible to keep it as original as it was in 66.The mileage shows 29936 and whilst I cannot verify this as accurate, the way it runs and rides, it almost like new. Although Tax and MOT exempt, it was MOT'd in Nov 20 with no advisories. This is a matching numbers bike and was exported to America when built in 1966 then imported back in 2017 with only 11672 miles on it (I have the certificate of title and UK V5) and had only 1 owner there with me being only the 2nd UK owner here. A couple of minor points though, There is a chip on the tank (about 1mm in diameter) but that is hardly noticeable and all the chrome work in very good with only a couple of minor blemishes, one on the headlight and one on the very bottom of the rear mudguard but again, hardly noticeable. It is not therefore a show winner but presents very well and looks stunning in Gold with the chrome rather than the more common Red or Black I see everywhere. This bike deserves to be ridden more than I can so get some British bike fun for the summer. You won't be disappointed.
