Description
This little machine was rebuilt by my Late farther many years ago. He used it quite a lot into his eighties. It was always well looked after. It has not been used for a number of years so it needs to move on. It starts easily, rides nicely, charges and the lights work. It will require a good check over before road use due to its recent years of rest.
The black cycle parts were stove enamelled at C and G in Liverpool. The petrol tank was restored by a professional company but it now shows some age on the paint, but still looks very nice. The sale will include photostat copies of the instruction manual and parts book. There are a number of gaskets. There is a cardboard log book and a V5 in my name.
The bad parts are a missing fin on the barrel and the fins round the exhaust are thin as is common on side valves. Someone in the past has cut a part out of the fin on the cylinder head to make more room for a plug spanner. (not my father) I will be sorry to see the bike go but it will just waste away here.
Sorry this machine is only open to UK buyers. I will require cash on collection from Dumfriesshire. I can not offer any warranty.
The frame number is XC10 1027. Engine number XC10 1925. These are on the bike and the old stile log book. The DVLA in their wisdom have managed to get them the other way round.
