1942 BSA M20

Up for sale is my 1942 BSA WDM20 military motorcycle.
The bike has new tires, rebuilt magneto, new clutch, new seat cover, fluids changed. She runs and shifts as she should. I have put a later carburetor on it for better starting and idling but the original carburetor comes with the bike and is easy to swap back to original.
This bike was imported from the Netherlands in 1969 and I have all of the provenance including the import paperwork. According to the BSA WM20 official registry this bike was built under contract C11101 between 1941 and 1942 for 10,000 war department bikes. The tank number is the original number assigned to this very bike. The bike was also used in post war duty in the British Army of the Rhine occupation force. According to records the engine was overhauled in 1955 and is a 1945 engine which was typical back then. The bike is titled as 1944 as the previous owner did not know the actual manufacture date.
The frame, headlight and some other parts still bear the original paint. Someone had put a camo paint job on it so I had the original color matched to repaint the tank and fenders.
This is a fun bike to tool around town on. I mainly use it for beer runs currently :-)
