Description
Here we have a well sorted 1957 Ariel Red Hunter in trials trim. Starts very easily with decompression leaver, 12 Volt electrics with new lithium battery and trickle battery charger to go with the sale.
Engine sounds superb, mechanically silent, revs nicely and goes well for a 350cc with off road trials gearing.
Gears and clutch all good, brakes all ok.
This is a fun, light bike weighing in at 140 kilos wet, (certificate to prove) making it great for off road / green lane use.
Comes with V5C in my name, the bike is registered as Historic Vehicle so road tax and mot exempt.
Frame condition is ok, a little tired and chipped in places, petrol tank is aluminium with part red paint which has flaked in places, it also has an aluminium swinging arm. Front and rear tyres are in good condition, exhaust system is neat and tidy.
Overall a good reliable British Bike.
I have had a few enquiries regarding the charging system and front end and so today I discharged the battery down to about 9 volts went out for a ride and checked again when back and it was reading 12.3 volts, there is an ammeter fitted and charge can be seen being put in.
Front end I believe is off a modern Royal Enfield Bullet.
This bike is advertised elsewhere, no test rides without cash in hand, it is sold as seen with no returns, buyer collects.
