Description
1970 Norton Commando 750 S Type
A rare, matching-numbers, early Commando model with the high-level exhaust system (both pipes should come up on the left-hand side).
The bike already has a powder-coated frame in very good condition, a new wiring harness, and the tank and side panels have been freshly repainted in the correct Metalflake Blue (around $2K alone just for the paintwork).
It's all there with the correct central oil tank, correct clocks, early side and main stands, headlight 'halo,' etc.
The last two photos show the bike as it arrived here and what it should look like when restored.
It was imported by me from the US and comes with the USA title document and the vehicle import permit. It is only up for sale because I also have a 750 SS to restore. Obviously, the bike needs work, but it will be a valuable model when done—and all the necessary parts are available, including the high-level pipes.
Happy to help with shipping arrangements at the buyer's cost.
Thanks for looking.

Thanks to Wayne for letting me know that the color on the Norton S Type was originally listed as Fireflake Blue—and that it is indeed a rare model. Not many were built, and even fewer survive today!
As an indication of pricing and/or value, a 750 S Type is currently advertised on Just Bikes for $33,000. Possibly a bit strong, but who knows?
