Description
1970 Harley-Davidson FL. Beautiful first year alternator shovel. Same as your new bike. Vintage bike with all the conveniences of a modern bike.
If you want a vintage Harley that you can enjoy years to come, look no further.
This bike has gone through an extensive mechanical service to bring it to road worthy condition. This is freshly done. If you looking to save a couple of grand and a deal keep looking this is not it. You will go through the process extensive pain of a money pit and two years out from riding it. That's the reality as things sit and sit and then every owner believes they are fixing it. They are not. Most of my job is unscrewing what others have “fixed”. That's my experience 99% of the time so why will yours be any different. You should be able to find many deals of “marketing bike” where the owners are hiding. Clear title to in my name.
This 1970 Harley Davidson is a darling and ready for the open road. This is an original motorcycle has been pampered since being restored. A few miles were put on it after the restoration and she has been in a heated garage since.
1970 First year Cone shovel History. The Kick Start is deleted on the FL. Harley introduces the Alternator moving from the generator and is now located on the left-hand crank case. The External “timer” is gone. New Cone-timing cover (“Cone Motors” came after “generator shovels”. Collectors have finally found out the troubles of the 6V and kick start system. The alternator was a game changer.
This is a show piece and a rider. This beauty retains all her original parts and incredibly the chrome covers are still there, especially on the right side.
