LAVERDA 3CL JARAMA

A big hello to all you Italian fans out there. For your consideration today is this iconic piece of motorcycling history. As you are all no doubt aware the Jarama was basically a 3CL intended for the US market. Not a big hit with the Yanks at the time Slaters bought a whole heap of new unsold machines back to the UK and retailed them here. It was manufactured in 1977 but not actually registered til 79. This one has languished in a front room ( i kid you not ) for the past 10 years and has been regularly started. As with all machines of this age there are a couple of not so good points. It has at some time obviously had a brief but disastrous affair with the tarmac and the result is a scuffed primary chain case and left hand silencer. hopefully this can be seen in the pictures. The left hand side panel has an inch long hairline crack at the bottom and at one time the front fixing lug has been broken off and now has a screw fixing it. The seat lock barrel is missing and the keys for the ignition and petrol tank cap are not matching. Although it does have a years MOT there is an advisory on the rear shocks having limited damping effect. Now for the good stuff. It's a matching numbers machine. The motor is a sweetie and runs without fault. No smoke or nasty noises here. It has Jota style rear sets as well as fully adjustable bars and of course the fabulous Jota seat. As you can probably see the rest of the bike is in remarkably good condition. The paint is lovely and there's no rust. If you have any questions or would like to view the bike please do contact me.
