Beautiful matching numbers. plunger framed. Norton ES2.

Despatched from the Norton Bracebridge works. on the 21. 12. 1948 to agents: H & A of Mansfield.

Same family ownership from 1961 until 2009. the machine was the subject of a full mechanical and cosmetic rebuild during the early 80's. most of the original nuts and bolts have been refinished in dull cad plating.

The engine fires up first kick and has travelled approximately 19500 miles since restoration. Overall condition is very clean and tidy. however there are a few. all round. general wear and tear marks and the chrome to wheel rims and exhaust are showing signs of very light. superficial oxidization in places. Recently fitted with brand new Renolds final drive chain and British made ‘original specification' front and rear sprockets. in addition a new ‘Cyclon Enersys' 6 volt battery has been installed and clutch plates (surflex) were fitted last year at approximately 19100 miles.

Included is a file of old MOT's and tax discs dating back as early as 1961. in addition there is a photo copy of the buff log book (unfortunately the original was not returned by the DVLA).

Fully transferable registration number with free historic road tax. please note due to new government legislation the bike is now MOT exempt.
