Jotas were never produced in abundance. .. they have beautiful Italian masculine styling & a sound that cannot be mistaken for anything else
Last run of Series 1 Jotas (1980) from the original Breganze factory. supplied by no other than Roger Slater Motorcycles (Slater Brothers). this is a genuine UK 180 Jota registered in 1981. presented in iconic Silver and Orange. pampered & stored in a secure heated environment. always admired where ever it goes
This is no ordinary Jota. .. the providence is such that the documentation includes service documents and receipts from Slater Brothers the sole importers & Laverda agents Windy Corner. Miura Engineering. Clare Laverda. Todd/Motodd & Shokks to name a few. It has all the early MOTs including the very first tax disc & MOT. full set of keys including seat. steering & petrol tank. complete with tool tray and hand book
Matching frame & engine numbers. high compression pistons. 4C cams. 32mm Dell'Ortos. adjustable handlebars. rearsets & straight through silencers
Maintained regardless of cost. it has just undergone a full service. including oil change. brakes completely rebuilt with genuine Brembo pads. seals & fluid. new spark plugs. new oil & brake fluid. engine fully checked & setup. carburettors electronically balanced & new MOT completed with no advisories
The pictures say a thousand words... meticulously restored last year with parts & guidance supplied by the creators Slater Laverda. new chrome work. zinc plating. polishing. paint work to original specification. badges. Voxbell horns. silencers. seat with metal base. indicators. genuine Cavis Benz fuel hose. fuel taps. petrol cap. cables. gaskets seals bearings. PC680 Odyssey battery etc.
The engine was fully inspected & serviced. forks were re-chromed & rebuilt as were the carburettors. the switch units were also restored & genuine Nippon Denso handle bar grips fitted to complete the restoration... thousands of pounds later
