1965 Triumph Bonneville T120C Desert Racer West Coast Version

Lovely 99% original Triumph T120C desert racer just arrived from the US.
This is the West Coast model with the low pipes. If you don't already know. the T120C was the predecessor to the TT special. It was built for the US market for desert racing. two versions were built. one for the East coast and one for the West. This is the west coast version.
This particular example is a numbers matching bike. engine and frame and engine cases too. The only real upgrade from original is to Boyer electronic ignition for more reliable running.
The bike is in very nice condition. starts runs and rides just as it should and will come with a new 12 month Daytime MOT. Obviously the bike was not supplied with lights when new! The bike is not UK registered. I do have the original US title and NOVA cert showing duties paid. allowing simple registration over here. This way the lucky buyer will be 1st UK owner on the V5.
Finally of all the competition Bonnevilles. the early C is the most rare. only around 150 were built in 65 compared with round 1900 of the later TT versions. so this is a very rare bike!

Please note this is not a restored concourse bike. if it was it would be £15000 plus. It is however a very nice example.
