1974 Norton 850 Commando Roadster MK2

This bike was just recently restored, it's super clean!! Runs and sounds great!! Has real Norton grunt! Very rare John Player-Union Jack color scheme. The 1974's were the best year for Norton, the "74" has the powerful 850cc engine along with the front disc brake but it doesn't have the cumbersome electric start that came standard in "75". Everything on the bike has been gone over in detail. Some upgrades were made as well but without compromising the look, feel and sound of a Commando (see below for a list of work done).This bike was a key feature at the 2019 Glory Daze motorcycle show in Pittsburgh, PA (invitational section). It's the biggest motorcycle show in Pittsburgh. Bragging now, but one on my restorations was purchased by the Barbour Museum a few years ago (largest Motorcycle Museum in the World). Electronic ignition, New clutch friction plates, Smiths Volt Meter (UK), Superbike Handlebars, Bar End Mirrors, Fiberglass Pipe Wrap, Professionally painted frame, Amal MKII single carb and air cleaner, Rebuilt master cylinder and calipers, New rear brake shoes, Super clean gas tank, New gas cap, Fork Gators, Customized fenders and tail light fixture, Rebuilt forks, Valve adjustments, Replaced lots of old nuts, bolts, washers with SS hardware, Lots of new rubber parts and hoses, New battery.
