Description
This small light weight Jem is a Moto Guzzi 250 Ts with the classic Scrambler engine from an AJS 370 Stormer fitted. Most Of The Work Was Done By The Previous Owner And His Good Mate The Legendary 2 Stroke Exhaust Maker Tony Cook.
I Bought The Bike As A Project To Finish After Selling My Royal Enfield, And Have Taken The Bike Completely Apart ( Not The Engine Or Box As Previous Owner Told Me He Had ) And Modified It In A Modern Twist In The Style Of A Brat Tracker.
Its Had The Frame Delugged And Cleaned Up, A Seat Loop Added Then Blasted And Painted In Chassis Black Paint. Then Its Been Put Back Together With Some New Parts. Starts Well And Is A Noisy Litlle Sod! Think Classic Scramber For An Idea.
Heres A Quick List Of The Bits In The Build... Moto Guzzi 250ts Frame With Full Running Gear - This Is Really Well Spec'd With Marzocchi 32mm Forks And Yokes. Grimeca Twin Sided Front Drum And Rear Hubakront Deep Flanged Alloy Rims Built By Hagon. Genuine Lyta Alloy Fuel Tank New Heidenau K37 Classic Enduro Tyres. 1 Off Exhaust Expansion Camber And Silencer By Tony Cook. 34mm Amal Mk1 Concentric Carb Had New Jets In It As Per Amal Specs For The Engine. Gunnar Gasser Quick Action Throttle. New Clutch And Throttle Cables. Lsl Alloy Barsbeston Style Grips. Electrex World Cdi Ignition And Lighting Coils ( Stk-981 ) So No Points To Mess About With! Custom Seat Recovered By A Friend ( Comes With A 2nd Seat Made From A Skateboard Deck!) Custom Rear Light Made From A Cb750 Exhaust Collar. Alloy Rear Mudguard With Reg Number Painted On. The Bike Comes With An Alloy Front Mudguard And Brackets ( Not Fitted As Spoils The Looks For Me! ) 280mm Rear Shocks. Fork Seals Replaced. Smiths Speedo Mounted On Special Bracket To Top Yoke. New Chain And Rear Sprocket ( Gearing Is 15/46 ) Minimal Wiring Loom, And Just A Single Switch On Bars. Registered As Historic So Tax And Mot Exempt.
Ive Done Maybe 30 Miles On It And Run It On Esso Supreme Ans Castrol R40 For The Authentic Smell!
The Bike Comes With A History File, Some Spare Jets For Carb And Some Tools For The Clutch/Engine.
The Bike Is Fun To Ride, But Vibey So Short Runs Only For Me! Gets Lots Of Looks And Attention Due To Noise And Smell. It Is After All A 48 Year Old Bike With A 50 Year Old Engine So Its Definatley The Sort Of Bike That Will Require Fettling And Constant Attention / Checks When Using.
Cash Or Bank Transfer On Collection Preferred Please.
