Description
Up for sale a really nice 1966 Norton N15CS that has been placed in an extremely rare Desertmaster frame. From my understanding, and from people that I know in the Desert Sled community, it was a Trackmaster frame but different for desert racing. Very few were made and they are extremely RARE. Do your research. With that being said, the motorcycle is a really cool period desert race bike. The engine is free and has compression but I do not know if it runs as I've never attempted to start it. I've only collected and stored it for many years now with the hopes of one day getting it back together. I am moving and need to sell off a bunch of things that I have in storage. The frame has some surface rust on it but it seems like it would actually clean up (if so desired) as I have tested some areas underneath the tank. The internal oil tank of the frame looks just fine as it has held oil and kept it preserved. The tank is fiberglass. The photos describe the bike and the components that are on it.
This is a great opportunity for someone to have a very unique Desert Sled. I also believe a Triumph engine can be fit in this frame if you wanted - again, do your research.
The motorcycle DOES NOT HAVE A TITLE and is being sold without it. In a separate listing currently live I have a completely rebuilt 1966 N15CS engine with a clear Massachusetts title in my name in my hand. Please see photos and ask questions. Buyer is responsible for shipping and/or pickup here in OJAI, CA 93023.
