Description
I am selling one of my motorcycles from my collection. I am now 78 years old and this wonderful Commando is getting a little too much for me to handle. I bought it new in 1974 and have ridden it for all of its miles. You will never find one that is so well maintained. I am a mechanical engineer and have been riding motorcycles since I was 12 years old and am a skilled motorcycle mechanic. I now restore vintage and classic motorcycles as a hobby. I have more pictures of this Norton I can send you if you ask for them. Starts, runs and preforms perfectly - better than new.
The following are upgrades to this Commando
Notes: 1. No visible oil, brake fluid or fuel leaks. 2. The 7th picture shows easily removable vinyl “flames” that I just installed on both sides of the seat trunk.
I love this bike and it breaks my heart to sell it but it needs to be ridden regularly. I will, of course, aid in getting the bike shipped to you or you can ride it away from Colorado Springs. It must be picked up by April 14, 2023 because I am leaving Colorado then until the late fall.
NORTON COMMANDO DESIGNERS HAD THE GENIUS TO CHARM RIDERSINTO BELIEVING THAT A NORTON COMMANDO IS THE PERFECT MOTORCYCLE AND THAT IT HAS NO PEER AND NEVER WILL. PHIL SCHILLING, EDITOR CYCLE MAGAZINE, 1974.
This listing is for a 1973 Norton Commando, NOT a 1975. The frame, engine and Vin# all match.
