VINTAGE PRE WAR 1935 ROYAL ENFIELD MODEL S MOTORCYCLE 250 OHV.
I bought this some years ago from a fellow REOC member from Redditch who had worked as an engineer for Royal Enfield. He had just fully restored a 37 Model S and had this 35 in boxes in his shed as his next project, he would not sell it to me but a few months down the line he rang me a said as he was moving to assisted accommodation and selling his house and as he was never going to get round to it, he would like me to buy it as I have a couple of other 35s.
When it came to me some previous restoration work had been done and it was disassembled, but it has since been loosely assembled. The intention was to tinker with it when time allowed with the aim to get it running as the engine had been previously rebuilt, but it has been sitting in the garage for many years now just gathering dust as I just do not have the time for another project at the moment.
There is no paperwork, so registration will have to be applied for, but all of the frame, engine, gearbox numbers are all clearly visible.
Please see the pictures to show the detail, The headlight is obviously a later larger reproduction unit. I do have the chain case which is not shown in the pictures.
A great pre war project but I just do not have the time to do it justice.
