Description
Ive owned this velo for about three years now . but havnt really put it to use . I bought is at the Stafford Classic bike show it having ended up on a dealers stall . . it was previously owned for a short time by James robinson the editor of classic motorcycle magazine. Ive fired it up on only a few occasions and apart from a run around the block never put in on the road . Time to part with it . An original mk2 kss will cost you north of 10K. this is a lot more affordable. Its a late 1940's Mk2 350 cammy engine and gearbox . fitted into a 1950s Mac frame . wheels are oriental . look like K2 honda to me . A well put together machine . I tracked down the builder who put it together in the 1980's and ran it for some years . there are a bunch of old tax discs showing its useage . It has a 12volt alternator fitted and a coil ignition fired via the original magneto . THe wiring will need redoing as the lighting circuit is disconnected . This bike being a bitsa is really One for the engineers amongst you. the starting price is a good bit less than i paid . The photographs flatter it . its not so shinny in the metal . On a V5c in my name . buyer collects. or i can point you to a decent courier service for UK mainland delivery.
