1950 Norton Big 4 596cc single

1950 Norton Big 482x113mm stroke 596cc side valve single cylinder. Was in Israeli army fleet. Imported into USA in the 90s. Engine was done at that time. Original Smiths speedometer in kilometers. Rare because you only see Smiths speedometers in miles. This is in kilometers because exported to Israel. Speedometer shows 47488 kilometers. Actual mileage unknown. Frame number E7-32129. Engine number E7-32791. Both frame and engine number correct for year 1950. Solid sheet metal. No missing sheetmetal. Paint is starting to flake off. Ride or restore. I would just leave it the way it is. Starts and runs. All four gears shift okay. No funny engine noises. Engine makes that classic big thumper sound. Engine has huge compression.
