1959 BMW R-Series, in Black, 16000 miles

1959 BMW R50 built with R1200 Engine and 1930s-inspired style.

Up for sale is a one-of-a-kind BMW motorcycle built to replicate the look and feel of a 1930s BMW R5 and R6, while incorporating modern performance and reliability.
My goal was to build a bike that looks like it could have existed in the 1930s, using vintage BMW parts and a 2007 BMW R1200 drivetrain.
It runs and rides great, plenty of power but still light and stable road feel like a pre-1969 BMW.

· Low miles 2007 BMW R1200R EFI engine and 6 speed transmission (approx. 16k miles) from Gold River Motorsports
· Custom fabricated hardtail based primarily on a 1959 R50 with R75/6 components with additional fabricated steel tubing, built to fit the larger R1200 engine while maintaining proper proportions. Fenders and Tank painted with PPG Delstar DAR9000 black enamel
· Rare 1967 factory chrome 6.5-gallon BMW sport tank, sometimes called a “parade” tank
· OEM BMW ECU and wiring harness
· New Shorai Lithium Iron Extreme-Rate Battery concealed in 30s style battery box
· 1974 R75/6 front fork
· 1974 BMW hubs and brakes
· 1978 BMW final drive
· New 19” powder coated stainless rims and stainless spokes (Central Wheel, UK)
· New Metzeler Block-C tires with Michelin tubes

Also included is a center stand and disc brake hub and rim if you want to convert to front disc brake.
Sold as is. Buyer responsible for shipping. I can assist with loading I will sell to international buyers, but they must manage all the fees and arrangements.
I completed this bike late last fall. I'm selling because I am no longer riding.
