Description
A superb example of the best of the best. built by the best and would compliment any collection alongside a Black Shadow. Rapide or Comet.
Hand built by renowned Vincent and Norton Guru Mr Phil Cotton. of Cottino Racing in Cumbria. 5 year waiting list from the elite Vincent engine build specialist Mr Bob Dunn with the Egli frame built by the renown Mr Andy Sidlow. A combination of the best of the best in the Vincent Egli world. all of whom are retiring away from their very specialist expertise so this bike is probably the best and the last of this combination.
The commissioning of this Egli was by a Mr. Bob Fletcher in 2009. I didn't meet Bob. but his enthusiasm and attention to detail is absolutely elite as any inspection of this bike or the portfolio of documented build spec will reveal. Rather than ramble on. I shall detail some of the bike specification as evidence of this quality and unique machine.
Model: 2009 Egli Vincent Superlight. Dimensions: Weight: 183 KG. utput: Power - 90 bhp. Torque - sufficient. Engine: Capacity: 1330cc. - built by Bob Dunn. Compression: 9:1 Nicasil lined 92mm Bores. Carburetor: 2x Mikuni VM 36mm. Ignition: Pazon Electronic - special mapping with twin spark head. Crankcase: Magnesium special crank. 100 mm stroke. Transmission: Gearbox: Magnesium case. Quaife 5 speed. Clutch: Multiplate. Primary: Black Shadow Triplex chain. Frame:Build: Egli design. hand built in alloy steel. mirror polished then copper nickel plated. Suspension: Front-Ceriani Forks - springs and dampers by Maxton. Front Brake: Menani 250mm Magnesium hub. 4 leading shoe. Rear Brake: Menani 210mm Magnesium hub. 2 leading shoe. Rims: Tagasako Excel. 18 inch. Fastners: Titanium and stainless steel.
The presentation and specification of this bike is truly superior right down to the stainless steel paddock stand made especially for it and the portfolio of evidence of build specification. every receipt and appropriate manual. Practically un-ridden since build and well kept by both of its owners. I would say viewing is essential. Part of my personal collection and I may withdraw or sell early. The enthusiast will understand that due to the high specification of the engine. the oil is currently drained so running up the engine on pre-viewing may not be possible but a full demonstration and trial will be offered to the ongoing owner.
I had listed this bike before and was sticking to my asking price. however. I will consider genuine offers close to the asking price with of course. any inspection of the bike and the massive portfolio welcome.
Thanks for looking. please see other items from my collection currently listed.
